A gentle, four seasons creative wellbeing journey inspired by the lessons of nature.

Welcome to Slow Seasons

Slow Seasons is a creative wellbeing project delivered by Blue Sky Connections C.I.C.supporting people in Tyne and Wear and County Durham to slow down, notice and learn from the seasons, and reconnect with their creativity from home.

Through four seasonal creativity boxes, the project invites you to explore what each season can teach us about rest, change, hope, and growth — using simple watercolour, journalling, and mindful reflection.

✔ Free to take part

✔ Four boxes across the year — one for each season

✔ Places are limited and boxes are delivered on a first-come, first-served basis

How Slow Seasons Works

Over the course of a year, you’ll receive four Slow Seasons creativity boxes:

Winter – Rest & Reflection

A gentle invitation to slow down, notice quiet moments, and lean into cosy, calm creativity.

Spring – Renewal & New Beginnings

Exploring hope, new shoots of change, and small, brave steps forward.

Summer – Confidence & Expression

Encouraging playfulness, colour, and joyful self-expression.

Autumn – Gratitude & Letting Go

Learning from the trees as they release their leaves, reflecting on change with kindness.

No classes to attend and no pressure — you move through the activities in your own time.

What You’ll Gain

✔ Feel calmer and less anxious

✔ Reconnect with your creativity (even if you don’t see yourself as “arty”)

✔ Build a sense of self-worth and confidence about the future

✔ Feel more connected to nature and the rhythm of the seasons

✔ Experience being “part of something” without social pressure
